Local Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Due to continued growth, we are looking for Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our expanding team based in Kalgoorlie.


Positions Available:


Kalgoorlie:

         Residential role only (No FIFO)

         Operating in our New Workshop from our Kalgoorlie Depot

         Rosters: 10 days on, 4 days off OR 5 days on, 2 days off OR 2 weeks on / 1 week off

         Other rosters available upon inquiry


Key Role Focus & Responsibilities:

As Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for:


         Completing all scheduled servicing & maintenance on prime movers, tankers / trailers, dollies including engine Tune-ups

         Diagnosis & repair of air brake systems

         Diagnosis & repair of steering & suspension systems

         Diagnosis & repair of engine & driveline components

         Diagnosis & repair of vehicle lighting systems

         Diagnosis & repair of ABS / EBS electronic braking systems

         Maintenance, diagnosis & repairs to tanker fuel delivery systems

         Recording information / records of all work completed on mobile assets

         Ability to read / follow diagrams & flow charts for fault troubleshooting process

         Maintain a high level of safety when performing all tasks

         Ensuring all assets are in roadworthy condition before they are released from the workshop

Your Skills & Qualifications:

         Trade Qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Australian Recognised)

         Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C class)

         Unrestricted Australian Working Rights

         Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

         Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

         Exceptional attention to detail

         Experience working with trucks and trailers

         Dedication to high safety standards within the workshop

         Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills

         Ability to convey information clearly and effectively

         Capability to prioritise conflicting deadlines under pressure

         Collaborative team player with a positive and constructive attitude

         Strong problem-solving abilities

         Well-developed computer skills and adaptability to new systems


Desirable but Not Essential:

         High Risk Work License - LF

         Aircon ticket and current Refrigerant Handling License

         Cert II Tyre Fitting


Experience:

Experience with road transport/truck and trailer repairs, fault diagnosis, and servicing

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role/industry

Proven expertise in workshop roles
