DM3 Logistics is seeking an experienced and safety-focused MC Road Train Driver Trainer & Assessor – Dangerous Goods to join our growing team in Kalgoorlie. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, this role is responsible for developing, coaching, and assessing drivers to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance across our transport operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MC Driver with a passion for mentoring others and promoting a positive safety culture. The role combines practical driver assessments, training delivery, compliance auditing, and operational support.

This position is based in Kalgoorlie and is suited to local residents only.

About the Role

As the MC Road Train Driver Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for supporting driver development through inductions, practical assessments, compliance training, mentoring, and ongoing coaching.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting driver inductions, competency assessments, and verification of competency (VOC) assessments
• Delivering practical and theory-based driver training programs
• Conducting ride-alongs, field observations, and operational audits
• Assessing driver performance and providing constructive coaching and feedback
• Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions, and retraining requirements
• Reinforcing compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, WAHVA, fatigue management regulations, Journey Management Plans (JMPs), and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate training records, assessment documentation, and compliance reporting
• Assisting with the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Journey Management Plans (JMPs), and training materials
• Promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the business
• Providing operational support and guidance to drivers, supervisors, and management

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Current unrestricted MC Licence
• Minimum five years' experience operating MC heavy vehicles, preferably road trains
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, WAHVA, and fatigue management requirements
• Previous experience in driver training, assessment, mentoring, or supervisory roles
• Excellent knowledge of heavy vehicle safety and compliance requirements

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:

• Fuel industry experience
• Dangerous Goods transport experience
• Experience conducting compliance audits and operational assessments
• Experience developing or delivering transport-related training programs
• Knowledge of bulk fuel transport operations
