With continued growth, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Workshop Coordinator to join our Kalgoorlie-based team.


This is a residential role only – no FIFO or accommodation is provided.

Your Role

This role is primarily office-based, focusing on strategic planning and coordination, rather than hands-on mechanical work.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring workshop efficiency, safety, and compliance while keeping the team on track.

The Leading Hand will be your key partner, overseeing the hands-on, day-to-day activities on the workshop floor and working closely with the crew.

Together, you'll create a smooth and productive environment where safety, quality, and performance are the top priorities.

Your role will include:

 

·         Managing day-to-day workshop operations – From scheduling jobs to overseeing repairs and maintenance.

·         Leading & mentoring the team – Providing guidance, training, and fostering a positive work environment.

·         Ensuring compliance & safety – Keeping up with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

·         Overseeing budgeting & inventory – Managing costs while ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are stocked and ready.

·         Coordinating with internal teams & subcontractors – Clear communication for smooth operations.

·         Problem-solving & efficiency improvements – Identifying issues before they arise and keeping things running smoothly.


What We’re Looking For

  • Trade Qualification (Mechanical/Heavy Vehicle preferred)
  • Experience in a similar role (2+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of heavy vehicles & transport equipment
  • Leadership & team management skills
  • Experience with truck & trailer repairs (road transport industry preferred)
  • Relevant tickets/licenses (Confined Space, Working at Heights, HRWL – LF EWP desirable)
  • Valid Australian driver’s license (minimum C class)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
