Our Company is a proudly WA owned and operated fuel transport company. We believe our people are the heart and soul of our company. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Workshop Manager to join our team based in Kalgoorlie.
This is for a local position only, no FIFO or accommodation provided.
Key
Role Focus & Responsibilities:
The Workshop Manager’s key role focus is to coordinate and direct all the activities of a workshop, manage staff and ensure the efficiency of the workshop.
Tasks would include,
but are not limited to:
· Overseeing the inspection and testing of vehicles to ensure the
efficiency and functionality of all systems
· Establishing and implementing operational procedures and policies in the
workshop
· Planning and coordinating all workshop activities, including scheduling
appointments and allocating tasks to direct reports
· Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a
safe and efficient workshop environment
· Managing the workshop budget, ensuring quality, and controlling costs
· Training staff on new technology or machinery, workshop procedures, and
safety protocols
· Maintain a positive and productive work environment
· Communicating with departments about vehicle problems, maintenance
plans, and repair options
· Managing inventory of tools, parts and equipment, and ordering new
supplies as needed
· Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends.
· Responsible for compliant disposal of
generated waste.

· Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C
class)
· Unrestricted Australian Working Rights

· Relevant Trade Qualification
· Valid Australian Drivers Licence - Minimum C class
· Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
· Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
· Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

Desirable but Not Essential:
Gearbox experience
Frontline Management (desirable)
Fuel/Office Companion experience
Experience:
·
2 years previous experience in a similar
role/industry desirable
·
Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicles and
equipment.
·
Experience with Road Transport/Truck &
Trailer Repairs
·
Proven experience in workshop roles,
demonstrating expertise in your field
